It was an off-campus placement drive with no criteria. It was of 3 rounds viz. Aptitude round, Programming round, Technical face-to-face interview.
Day 1: Aptitude Round
There were 25 MCQs, each one carrying 4 marks each. Also, negative marking was there. Almost 95% questions were of Logical Ability. 10% questions were of easy level, 70% was of moderate level, 20% of hard level. Time duration was 60 minutes. The results were announced within 15 minutes after completing the test. My name wasn't announced during the results declaration.
After 2 days, I received a call from them. They said that I qualified the Aptitude round, that they due to some mistakes my name wasn't announced. I had to appear for the Programming round after 2 days of the call.
Day 2: Programming round
It was a pen-paper based round. Main focus of this round was to check the logic of candidates. It was strictly not allowed to use any in-built functions (such as sort, sum, etc.), as using them may cause marks deduction. The test was of 2 hours, although it can be completed in 1 hour. The questions were of moderate to semi-moderate level.
For example, converting decimal numbers to binary numbers was one of the moderate level programs, we have to write the program without using inbuilt functions for conversion.
A person with a good knowledge of C language can easily crack this round. After a week, I received a call from them stating that I have cleared the Programming round and the next round date was told to me.
Day 3: Technical face-to-face Interview
The technical interview was of approximately 45-50 minutes. My previous interview was of 5-10 minutes, so interview for this much of time was making me extra nervous. They asked some basic questions and asked my favourite subject. I answered Data Structures. They dropped a famous Linked List question, how to find that whether there is a loop present in a Single Linked list. I was completely blank. I tried for 10 minutes, but couldn't reach to a final solution. Next, they asked some Logical questions, I couldn't answered them properly as well. Now they asked me some question on my project and MySQL, hopefully I answered those questions.
After my interview, it was pretty much unexpected to me that I will be get selected. But, I got an email from them after 2 weeks stating that I got selected. It was an unexpected one!!!
